Raising bicycle awareness

On 1st April 2006, Will and Ed Stevens left the gates of Buckingham Palace at 1pm and rode east along the south bank of the river Thames.

On 2nd September 2006, they rode west along the north bank, returning to the Palace at 2pm.

During the five months in between, the brothers travelled 6,000 miles around the entire coastline of Britain (six times the distance of Land's End to John O'Groats).

This giant loop was pedalled seven feet from the ground on a pair of Tall Bikes.

The first journey of its kind, Tall Bike Tour Britain was an important event in the history of long-distance cycling, and a record-breaking expedition.
